We Have All Seen Them,

even walked over them,

manhole covers, oops I did it again! I must try and get PC in this totally stupid phase the human race is going through, people covers, there, all the retarded and misguided snowflakes can get their blood pressure back to normal! the thing about manhole covers is that they are usually utilitarian, but in Japan some have become works of art in their own right, especially these 27 new covers that are illuminated by solar-powered LED lights and featuring anime-inspired designs, the new manholes were laid on August 1, 2020, and are the first manholes in Japan to feature LED lighting, photograph Tokyo-NPthese were put in place by authorities in Tokorozawa, a Japanese city located north of Tokyo,

and this is how they work, every LED manhole cover is located next to its own solar panel, and the two are connected underground. The LED displays reportedly turn on automatically at 5 pm and remain lit until 2 in the morning, as it happens we have featured Japanese manhole covers on our blog a few times before,

the 27 high-tech manhole covers feature designs inspired by some of the world’s most popular anime series, including Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gundam and Kino’s Journey,

LED manhole covers, how neat is that? and here is another neat thing, being in Japan you know no one will vandalise them, or worse still steal them!
