I Thought I Would Start With A Halloween Theme,

and what better way than to stay in a spooky house?

the house is almost 'as found',

Maison Vitry was built for Free Woman of Color, Louise Vitry and her French consort, Archille Courcelle in 1855,

with its peeling walls and general look of disrepair,

it does look rather sinister,

the house was subject of an 1858 Louisiana Supreme Court Decision in which Louise Vitry was allowed to keep her house and her 7 slaves prior to Civil War, 

the house is in New Orleans, Louisiana, within walking distance of the French Quarter in the Historic Treme, to use the house is a step back in time to 19th Century New Orleans with grand proportions, 14 foot ceilings, original fireplaces, mahogany staircase, ceiling medallions, inside most of the bedrooms and amenities are set on the second floor for your comfort. A large master bedroom queen size bed, a 2nd bedroom queen size bed and a large guest bedroom-living room (the blue room in the photos) with a sleep sofa and a queen air mattress. Spacious kitchen-dining room and two full bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs a 3rd bedroom queen size bed and a 3rd full bathroom. The upstairs sitting room connects to both side and front balconies that catches the breeze with incredible views of New Orleans downtown skyline, no mention of ghosts, but the house was also used for the filming of American Horror Story season 3,
