If You Are In The Market,

for small about town all electric pick up,

have a look at this little chap, also I guess it could be used in large factories or building sites for moving men and materials,

manufactured in China under the obscure brand “R&Z” this nifty little electric truck sits on 12-inch wheels, has a maximum payload of 500 kilograms (1,100 lbs) and featured a 1.6 m (5’3″) long bed, it offers a cozy two-person cabin, air vents (air condition costs extra), adjustable seats, seatbelts, LED headlights, radio, and metallic paint and the 110 km (75 miles) range of its 72V and 7.2 kWh battery pack is pretty decent as well,

the cheap pickup has a maximum speed of 40 km/h, and its lead acid battery pack requires between 8 and 10 hours to fully charge after being completely drained. According to Electrek, the pickup’s 3 kW motor providing rear-wheel drive is geared low for torque, not speed, from the article,

'I chatted with Reyna Zoe from the company, who shared with me the more detailed spec sheet.

The best price she could offer me was US$3,950 for the standard model, or $4,880 for the extended cab model that comes with four seats, larger 13-inch wheels and a few other upgrades including power steering, electric locks/windows and even a child safety lock.

As helpful as she is, I’ve been waiting days for a shipping quote to my nearest port in the US (Reyna explained to me that they unfortunately don’t offer door-to-door shipping as an option). I’m guessing we’re going to be looking at somewhere around US$1,000 to US$1,500 in shipping charges, though these can vary wildly.

All told, even if the total price breaks US$5,000, that’s not bad for what looks like a nice little utility truck. And if you think about how much the cost of gas and diesel adds up for farmers or construction workers who use utility vehicles every day, this price might actually make sense'.

what a neat little truck, hopefully UK manufactures will take note on the price, and make a UK version, a tad bigger and faster, but for under $5,000 for an all electric runabout? it goes to show it can be done, and a lot cheaper if they are made here, as there would be no shipping costs! what a great little car for shopping and local trips.
