Not Only Was It Sunday Lunch,

it was Valentines Day,

so what better way,

than to say it with flowers?

one big bunch,

of 100 blooms,

and 12 long stemmed red roses, and a card form an admirer,

on to our starters, a lamb kebab,

'Cheers!',

then on to the bubbly,

which was being very difficult, but the cork gave way in the end,

Diana had popped a few raspberries in the glasses,

so a quick pour,

'Cheers!',

we had to have some of the flowers in the background,

on to our main course,

gammon ham with all of the trimmings,

for dessert strawberry trifle, in the afternoon we watched a couple of Columbo's,

in the evening we decide to watch a recommendation of Mike's titled Queen's Gambit, we watched the first episode and thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so we watched 3 more! which we had not planned on doing as Diana has to catch the 04.03 AM bus in the morning, just a couple of things stood out for myself regarding this production, in the first couple of episodes when Mrs. Wheatley was playing the piano it looked so false, and in episode 3 the swim seemed far to long for anybody with just one breath, I might be nit picking as it was really enjoyable, and as Diana will be home for tomorrow evening no prizes as to what we are going to watch! and with the end of episode 4 we were off to bed.

  1. Liking the beard Stan.

Regarding Queen's Gambit, two fun facts is that none of the show was filmed in America, and most of the main characters are played by British actors using American accents.

  3. Dear Jil, I have to say it, the beard is coming on a pace, I am hoping to keep it till Christmas when I can play Santa Claus, but I think it will be long gone by then! I had no idea that none of the shows were not filmed in America, or about the British actors, the strange thing is I was reading only last week, that only gay actors should play gays and only straight actors should play straights, to expand on that I guess if whoever said that has his way only Americans will play Americans and Brits Brits, how bizarre! best regards, Stan and Diana.
