we decided to skip breakfast,
and have lunch in the park,
so it was a summer shirt and shorts for the first time this year,
Diana was loaded up with the chair whilst I took the food and drink,
we made our way past some of the houses in the park,
and some of the flowering cherry trees, I cannot remember if Diana said the flowers were as white as my beard, or my beard was as white as the flowers!
we walked towards the Georgian mansion in the park,
and settled down here,
with the mansion in the distance,
a pose from Diana,
and a normal pose for myself,
a drop of red, delicious!
our lunch, Diana also brought some hot noodles and chicken,
scotch eggs, no summer afternoon picnic would be complete without them,
a last look at the mansion, and we were on our way home,
in the evening a sherry and a read,
our meal tonight,
lamb stew,
eyes down and tuck in,
for dessert, cherry pie with cream and ice cream, later in the evening we watched a Midsomer Murder, followed by a New Tricks and the penultimate episode of The Irregulars, which we are really enjoying, next for us we were off to bed.
