instead of paying for a tattoo,
Egor
Onopko, an up-and-coming blogger from Vladivostok, Russia, gets paid to have a
tattoo made on him, no one really believed Onopko, who goes by “onokonda” on
social media, would go through with the idea when he first announced it on
Instagram, but last week, he posted visual proof that he had gone through with
it, Onokonda told his fans that he was inspired to turn himself
into a walking billboard by digital creator Jan Stashkevich, who
specializes in “making bloggers stand out”, and who was the first to purchase
ad space on Egor’s neck, yes that is correct, you can have your compaines name tattooed on Egor's neck! He was also the one who suggested that he search nine
other interested clients as well. Stashkevich’s handle isn’t etched alongside
the other nine, so maybe it’s on the other side? the downside is that Egor
and his clients signed a contract which specifies that the tattoos on his neck
will remain visible for the rest of his life, and that he is forbidden from
having them erased or covered up with other tattoos,
the upside is that each of the clients had
to pay a fee of 100,000 roubles, at today's rate £957.25 or $1,352.00, not too bad for a lifetimes advertising I would have thought, and as it happens the young
blogger told Russian media that there was a lot of interest in the unique
real-estate, and he had to turn down many offers, perhaps charge more for the other side of his neck?
At first I thought you meant £950 per month, and I thought that actually seemed reasonable. Another 4 or 5 tattoos and he could retire. But if that was a one-time flat fee? Well, what an idiot.
ReplyDeleteDear Jil, I should have said it was a one off payment, as you say if that was for a month I might have a few myself! lets see 10 X £950 a month and then there is the other side to do as well if you run short of funds! best regards, Stan and Diana.
