one of our normal day, and one of the fire in the park,
Diana did not have to start work until the afternoon, so off to the park,
for us,
we brought the picnic basket with us,
and had soon settled down,
the mansion in the distance,
out with the sandwiches,
as Diana strikes the pose in the shade,
as I soaked up the rays,
next open the bubbly,
carefully does it,
for today a rose,
and a sandwich,
it was a glorious day,
as Diana relaxed,
and had a pose,
no not really!
Diana having a chat with her family,
a little more bubbly for myself,
a crow came calling,
but kept his distance,
Diana had left for work a couple of hours earlier, as I made my way home,
walking past the tennis courts it was nice to see so many youngsters playing sports,
in the evening a sherry and a read,
for tonight some sushi,
eyes down and tuck in,
for dessert a selection of melon and grapes,
after listening to music for most of the evening I watched a few documentaries, then Diana called at 01.20 Thursday morning, so off to the bus stop and home,
just down the road the fire crews still damping down, I will make a separate post about the fire, arriving home for us we watched a Touch of Frost when we were then off to bed.
Dear Stan-question....was it the sun or the bubbly that gave you such a “glow” at dinner!
ReplyDeleteSummer is here for all.

John and Alley
Dear John and Alley, I was tempted to say the sun, but I am sure the bubbly helped! I will hopefully continue to 'glow' for the rest of the summer, best regards, Stan and Diana.
