Damned If You Do,

damned if you do not,

wear sunglasses that is whilst driving in the UK, like Motoring television presenter Jeremy Clarkson driving in his shades (Image: Daily Mirror), if your shades are too dark wearing them while you drive could land you with a £2,500 fine and nine points on your licence, but, and here is the kicker, rule 237 of the Highway Code states that drivers must slow down or pull over if dazzled by bright sunlight - so if you don't, and you're not wearing sunglasses to protect you from the glare then you could be convicted of careless driving, the offence means an on-the-spot fine of £100 and up to three penalty points on your licence - or you could go to court and face up to £2,500 in a fine and nine points, for the full story have a look here, what a nice little earner for the boys in blue!
