we have all heard of the leaning Tower of Pisa,
we were there in June2016, naturally taking the usual tourists photographs,
but what is inside it? I had no idea it was, well, empty,
but there is one thing you will see when you
enter, you will notice a thin wire coming down from the very centre of the
roof, at its lower end, a heavy mass is attached, the mass stands about 4
meters (13 feet) above the floor and the wire must be some
46m (150 feet) long, it looks like a giant pendulum, the wire
is attached to the middle of the ceiling, the mass at its bottom touches
the exterior wall, this is how much the Tower is leaning! Amazing, the
lower two photographs and other interesting facts about the tower can be found here.
