The Second Part Of Our Day Out,

starting at Canary Wharf,

the boat soon docked,

and we were here, 

going past some maintenance work on the jetty,

it is actually the first time we have ever been to Canary Wharf,

guess who?

as it happens I was surprised these panels were still in place, it was so windy,

we started towards the main square,

these looked neat,

the gardeners must take so long training these, 

a work in progresses as I presume a new building starts to take shape,

I have no idea what this is or commemorates,

over the road,

to a nice fountain display,

no swimming!

a quick pose,

as we made our way past the fountain,

and other works of art,

into Cabot Place, a real high end shopping complex,

the planted walls were a nice touch,

as we made our way down to the waterfront,

the plants on both sides of the steps,

leading down,

down to the waterfront,

for a pose,

or two,

or three,

looking back,

to one of the big intuitions,

I thought this was neat as well, a train going through the building,

a bit cloudy, 

and unbelievably windy,

I even made a short video of the wind on the water in the small canal we were by,

back to the jetty,

it was starting to brighten up,

in the distance where we were headed,

Central London,

on to the jetty,

and a quick pose,

as the downstream Uber gets under full power,

I said to Diana here comes ours,

it is of course the cross river ferry,

and here comes our Uber,

twin hulled as they all are,

all settled in,

for the ride up river,

a bit slower past this tug and barge,

a working London tug,

there is always someone that has a bigger boat than you!

the Kismet, as mentioned in the link, it is up for sale, (if you have to ask, you can not afford it!),

just before the bridge a paddle steamer,

and the bridge itself,

a last look at Kismet,

travellers joining us at Tower Bridge,

past the tower,

and the Walkie-Talkie building, 

as it happens we have eaten in the restaurant there at the top,

it is a shame, 

that the glass on the boat was a bit hazy,

so are the photographs as we go past Cleopatra's Needle,

off at the embankment,

and up Northumberland,

past the Sherlock Holmes pub,

on to Trafalgar Square,

crossing the road with the really queer green man symbol,

by now we were a tad hungry, neither of us had eaten breakfast,

past St Martins-in-the-Fields,

walking towards China Town,

past this shop with a really colourful display,

all of the colours of the rainbow,

if there are not too many people waiting we will be calling in here on our way home,

into China Town itself,

not as many people as I would have though were here,

a quick pose then we were inside,

having our starters at Hao Zhan,

crab and sweet corn soup for myself, dim sum for Diana,

we shared three types of meats,

'Cheers!',

we also ordered chicken and cashew nuts, bean sprouts and special fried rice, it was all excellent, the bill including service came to £95.29,

the shop Diana wanted to visit had a queue outside of the door,

so next door into,

Tsujiri,

for a ice cream,

China tea,

I have to say, I did not fancy one myself,

onwards,

towards Leicester Square tube station, a change at Green Park then the mainline to Beckenham Junction,

and we were home,

in the evening as we watched Midsomer Murders, I cracked open all of the cob nuts,

there were lots of them,

the result, we ate half of them in the evening saving the rest for tomorrow, after a New Tricks we were off to bed.
