Our BT hub has stopped working,
at first we were told there were no problems in the BR3 area (Bromley), where we live, it must be our BT hub box, an hour or so later we recived a text message to say it was a area fault, we have just received another text message to say that the fault will hopefully be repaired by 23.59 on the 15th. November, hopefully it will be repaired sooner, as soon as it is we will be posting again! Thank goodness that we do not have a business that relies on BT internet, I am typing this on my mobile using mobile data, which will soon run out of time, so please look back at our blog in a few days, all the best Stan and Diana.
Dear Stan and Diana-lately we see most things at some point fail. Your problem does not surprise us and seems par for the course in the new world we live in. Complexity coupled with human error and lack of critical thinking skills all combine into failure. Things have changed from 10-15 years ago when everyone and everything was accountable. Now no one seems to know the causes of the failure and of course it takes far longer to correct the issue given the factors of today’s society. We see a slow decline from the standard of excellence as we have passed the golden era we experienced earlier. Now things seem substandard and non predictable. Like the train problems you have had this past year, a good example of a once good system gone bad.
ReplyDeleteI like it when you you say, why do these things always happen to me? Guess what, that what everyone is saying so you are not alone. Let’s hope things get better. Fun times!
Regards
John and Alley
Dear John and Alley, you are so correct, but the good news is that I have just posted the blog, BT sent us a mini hub which is working fine, the bad news is that we were promised an engineer between 08.00 and 1.00 as I type this at 1.38 still no news of him visiting us, which is a bit of a pain as I have our weekly shopping list all prepared to go this afternoon, but I dare not leave the house, he is bound to arrive just as I am getting on the bus! best regards, Stan and Diana.
