it is because it is in the Guinness Book of World Records,
it is of Peter
Glazebrook (UK) at the National Gardening Show at the Royal
Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, UK, on 4 September 2011,
with the worlds heaviest potato weighing in at 4.98 kg (10 lb 14
oz) as recognized by Guinness, but there is now a new contender on the block, or should I say plot?

TAYLOR/STUFF, Donna and
Colin Craig-Brown with Doug, their possibly-world-record spud, the couple weighed
the spud and found it was a massive 7.9kg – so heavy you wouldn’t be permitted
to take it on an aeroplane as carry-on luggage,
Colin and
Donna Craig-Brown said they initially weren't even sure of what they had
discovered under a few inches of dirt in their Waikato garden, "I said to
Donna this must be one of those white kumara that we grew," Colin
Craig-Brown told Stuff.co.nz, "because some of them just grew
massive here." Craig-Brown said it only after he stabbed at it with a fork
that he discovered the item was a potato, "I said to Donna, 'It's a
potato,' and she went, 'No.' I said, 'Yeah it is!'" he recalled to Newshub, well it looks like it is going to be a new world record, unless you have one that is bigger!
