Here In The UK,

we are nearing the end of 'No Mow May',

the idea is that to help encourage bees and other pollinators you should not mow your lawn for the month of May, keeping to a bee theme, to celebrate World Bee Day properly, Italian beekeeper Rocco Filomeno recently listed the world’s first bee farm on Airbnb, allowing guests to sleep to the sound of over 1 million buzzing insects, located on Rocco’s olive farm just outside the picturesque village of Grottole in southern Italy, the unique accommodation was designed by artist Davide Tagliabue, financed through crowdfunding and built with the help of local volunteers,

the structure was made entirely of fir and birchwood and cost only £13,500 at today's rate, $17,000 to make. what really makes it unique is that it is built around a giant hive of over 1 million bees. The main idea was for visitors to fall asleep to the buzzing of bees, a humming sound known to have a soothing effect,

“This is the first place in the world where you can sleep immersed in the distinctive sound and aroma of the bees, experiencing ‘bee-therapy’ in the most authentic and natural way,” beekeeper Rocco Filomeno said,

while lying inside the structure, guests can also gaze through a specially constructed box in the ceiling, so if you fancy going to sleep with the bees, have a look here at its airbnb listing, whilst staying at this Air Bee and Bee, guests can also enjoy a breakfast of ricotta, strawberries, homemade biscuits and, of course, honey.
