a number of councils in the UK,
are not on the electric car bandwagon, photograph Reuters, research, carried out by leasing experts LeaseLoco, found that six in 10 (61%) of local authorities are failing to roll out public electric car chargers fast enough to meet government’s targets, more than a quarter (26%) of councils expanded their public charger network by less than 10% over the past 12 months, which I guess has saved the ratepayers of the councils heaps of money, of those councils 22 actually saw the number of public EV chargers it has shrink!
Department for Transport figures also reveals that the electric car charger rollout across the UK stalled for the second quarter running, in total, 1,721 public chargers were installed from 1st April to 1st July 2022, down 10% on the previous quarter, so much for Brighton and Hove's green credentials! for the full story have a look here.
Dear Stanley and Diana
ReplyDeleteEV focus by both our governments is so sad. They are pouring taxpayers’ money down the rabbit hole, dreaming it will solve the all energy problems. We, along with other wise people know the truth!
Root cause of all this is greed and organized corruption.
Golden Era gone and replaced with substandard services at high prices…just like your train experiences. Believe the whole world has gone to hell in a hand basket…dragging us along too!
Let us hope for better times
Regards
John and Alley
Dear John and Alley, you are so correct, I despair about the amounts of money being wasted on projects that will be long term failures, and yet no one is held accountable for the waste of money, wind farms, solar panels, EV cars, the list goes on! best regards, Stan and Diana.
