The Second Part Of The Afternoon,

started with the eating contest,

as the contestants were being briefed,

I joined Steve who wanted to buy a few things,

shopping finished,

we were back in time for the eating contest,

suitably briefed, the two organisers of the contest started,

first some smoke and a little dance,

before the serious bit,

a quick run down of what was going to happen,

and then introductions,

of the contestants,

intros over and the first eating challenge appears,

a tray with a long piece of cows intestine, 

which was cut up and given to the contestants,

notice the contestants all have an emergency plastic bag!

task finished they were asked what the thought of it, "Chewie" was the consensus,

next a plate of frogs legs,

which seemed to go down well,

so far no emergency bags were needed,

then a surprise the third challenge was not eating,

I had a quick look at the huge crowd,

and here was the next challenge,

after putting on high heels, a skirt and a wig,

they had to do a sexy dance as they were just shown!

it was hilarious,

everyone put on a good show,

and some really went for it!

much to the amusement of the crowd,

this contestant,

really making an effort to get down and dirty,

not that the others were not,

it was so funny watching them perform,

off with dresses before the next challenge,

meanwhile,

one of the performers went around the crowd with a jug of nasty looking liquid,

it would have been my worst nightmare, 6 month old fermented fish sauce!

the contestants were given a glass each,

then drink, drink, drink!

after finishing they have to put the glass upside down on their heads,

and here he is,

the lucky or brave winner, what great fun the competition was, £50 in his mouth, no prizes for guessing where it was he had to recue it from!

I met up with Steve, 

for another trip to my favorite stall, 

as we arrived back a new performer was being introduced,

the show started with a bang,

as confetti,

showered across the stage,

this performer seemed very popular with one of the security crew,

the heels on the boots, 

were made for walking,

a rest,

before coming off stage,

and mingling with the crowd,

the crowd loved the performance,

and did I mention,

the long hair?

back to the stage,

for a few more numbers,

a quick look at the crowd,

as the show continued,

with the next performer,

but these numbers were slow but powerful ballads,

then as the singer rose up,

the tempo changed, and in a flash the singer transformed,

into this metallic costume,

as well as dancing,

the routine became,

quite acrobatic,

in places,

finally balancing on a chair the act was over,

and the next one started,

the costumes seeming to get smaller as the show went on,

this act seemed to be very popular,

with the Thai announcer,

who was taking non stop photographs,

or making a video,

the act finished to a huge round of applause,

as another act started,

the announcer,

also following this act closely,

as the act finished,

a look at the crowd, thousands must be here,

it was jammed,

the final act,

using a dressing table as a prop,

the last performer enthralled the crowd,

the dresses and costumes of all of the actors all looking so nice, if you ever go to Thailand make sure you take in a lady boy show like this one, they are just so much fun,

we started towards home,

what a wonderful time we had, we all thoroughly enjoyed the day,

and the weather stayed so kind to us all,

a very happy Diana,

as well as Steve and Kai,

we said our farewells to Steve and Kai on the train, and made our way past Foxgrove Lodge and home,

the sky looking slightly cloudy, but it was not a problem as we were soon home, where it was feet up for an Endeavor followed by a Have I Got More News For You, before rounding off the evening with one from Silent Witness before we were off to bed.
