Wednesday Already!

as soon as I post this, I will be off,

on my way to visit Duncan, so I will only be making one post today, back to Tuesday, I cleaned up all of the cleaning fluids left on the window sill, and replaced the plants,

later today I will be cleaning the two smaller windows,

on each side of the larger window,

but first, up the ladder and take off all of the curtain rail slides, replacing the old ones with the new ones near the fixed part of the curtain, so the ones that I know slide freely will be on the part of the curtain that moves the most,

and hey presto! it worked, the curtains on the left open and close as easily as the ones on the right, next plants off of the 2 smaller window sills, and a liberal helping of anti mould and ammonia spray, it took longer than it takes to write it!

but eventually here they were, 

this one needing repainting, a job for the future! I will leave the sills overnight and when I return form the visit to Duncan wipe away all of the chemicals and replace the plants,

Diana had returned home from work, and after a few quiz shows, luckily there was no sports on this evening, we had our meal and watched a couple of Antiques Road Shows, before Diana started decorating the tree,

it took a surprisingly long time,

Diana decide to call it a halt here, there are still the vintage glass ornaments to put up, 

so just a few finishing touches for this evening,

it is all starting to look nice now,

now just the final adjustments for this evening,

I would have called it a halt already,

but Diana wanted it to be 100%,

for this year a star,

which as it was relatively heavy,

it would not sit upright, so more adjustments,

until eventually it was upright,

well just a tad more to the left!

lastly for the evening, switch on the lights,

for our Christmas village under the tree,

Ta-Dah! the vintage glass ornaments to be put on over the next few days, by now it was late and as Diana is on early shift tomorrow, we watched a New Tricks before we were off to bed.
