Over The Years,

I have seen many strange signs, 

image credit: u/Bryllant, many of which have been made up, but the slightly macabre one above is real, it was apparently put up to stop floating, rotting fish carcasses form attracting seabirds and smelling, it appears that in the natural world, a dead fish is in itself rare, as they more often are consumed before dying of other causes, even a fish that has been filleted will float when the head is intact, poking the eyes out will release the build up of gasses inside so the fish carcass will sink to the bottom, so if you are lucky enough to catch a edible sized fish and gut or fillet it near the river of sea you caught it in, remember to pop the eyes before you throw the carcase back, and there was me thinking it was a fake sign!
