I Am Only Making One Post Today,

as I took so many photographs and videos,

before lunch we were out,

passing Dura Den Close,

where later today there will be a street party,

turn right at the snail mail box,

and through the gates that stop motorized traffic, on the gate what we were going to visit, the weekly Sunday Farmers market

a bit of a overcast day as we made our way up the hill,

just a few years ago, schools were here planting what looked like a forest of sticks, but now the hawthorn has flowered making a nice refuge for wild life,

the mansion house in the distance,

we were soon looking at the stalls,

cut flowers here, but the big lorry that normally sells house plants not here this weekend,

Diana was on a quest!

she was looking for the stall that sells cheesecake,

we had a quick look,

so far no luck,

we decided on a coffee,

and walked to the side of the mansion,

passing a few picnickers on the way,

inside a coffee for Diana,

a bubbly for myself,

we took a table outside,

'Cheers!',

Diana was hungry, so she ordered a huge almond croissant,

whilst drinking I could not notice despite the overcast weather, there were a lot of people in the park,

I made a panorama of the scene,

we then started up the other side of the building,

when I noticed these,

a almost black tulip, I have not seen many a dark as this,

we walked back to the start of the stalls,

in the distance a party in full swing,

the start of the stalls,

looking across the green at the stalls we had already looked at,

I noticed this stall at once, The Tomato Stall,

they all looked so delicious,

and what a lovely box to have as a part of a picnic,

next this stall selling micro greens that you can grow yourself,

the next stall, halopenos

Diana was out of luck with the cheesecake stall,

but was tempted by the voodoo chicken, but decided against buying some in the end,

we made our way back downhill,

past the field that has been left to grow wild,

we were soon nearing the gates,

and turning left at the snail mail box,

past Dura Den Close and home,

arriving home, time to light the candle,

another 'Cheers!', after which I started to read one more from Labyrinths by Jorge Francisco Isidoro Luis Borges Acevedo, and read the Story of the Warrior and the Captive,

for our starters a few snacks of Indian tit bits,

eyes down and tuck in,

for our main course, roast lamb, with gravy for Diana,

sans gravy for myself,

all set,

'Cheers!', and tuck in,

for dessert apple strudel with ice cream,

delicious!,

a lovely meal for both of us,

then I was out to the street party at Dura Den Close all organised by Penney, the band had arrived!

and they were good, welcome to Doolally Tap,

like myself many of the party goers had walked to the entrance of the park,

and walked beside,

and followed the band,

I did not realised so many were at the party,

into Dura Den Close,

and here is the video,

the band continued playing,

it is still amazing to me just how good they were,

number after number,

and here is the most impressive bit,

in each number, everyone of the band performed a 'solo', with the rest of the band still playing but giving centre stage to whoever the performer was,

fabulous,

a look behind me,

as the band played on,

did I mention there were singers also in the band?

and good they were too,

with no microphones, just their voices,

they belted out another number, all in the style of New Orleans jazz,

everybody was enjoying the show so much,

and it was a chance to meet fellow neighbours,

the band changed positions in the street,

the band played on, at the end of this video is Penny in the white and red polka dot dress, who put so much time and effort into making all of this happen a big 'Thank You', for all of your efforts and the others that helped you make this such a wonderful street party,

after playing for three sets, the band made a move to their homes,

but as they left what better than a conga! if you want to see more of Doolally Tap, here is their calendar for upcoming gigs, if you like the band, this is a video of all of them put together,

what a band!

looking up we were not alone, one of the roof ducks,

was looking on! once again again many thanks to Penny, as I said my farewells and left for home, where it was time for a Columbo, followed by a evening with Dame Edna Everage and guests, we rounded off the evening with A Touch of Frost before we were off to bed.
