Many Of Us Have Driving Licenses In The UK,

and even those of us that have not still recognise roadside signs,

all images courtesy Gaku Yamazaki, but if we holidayed and decided to drive in Japan, here are a few that we would not be familiar with, and for one 21-year old college senior, Gaku Yamazaki, he spends his spare time traversing Japan in search of what he has dubbed ikei-yajirushi, or ‘unusual arrows.’

and with just a little imagination these arrows could almost be love hearts! found in Higashi Ward, Sapporo City, apparently there are thousands of these to us abnormal road signs dotted across Japan, many thanks to Yamazaki who has developed a certain affection for them, particularly towards the more, to us, way out strange ones.
