so little to do,

photograph @bochimushi64/X I guess was the reason for this impressive collection, during the covid lockdown, on August 17, Japanese Twitter (X) user bochimushi posted a photo of hundreds of shiny dung beetles arranged by colour, from deep blue to purple including reds, greens and browns, to save counting them there are 450 beetles in the collection, but strangely enough bochimushi is not the first to collect these beetles in the pandemic, 

photograph @mikinko116/X but 2 years earlier also in the pandemic @mikinko116/X made a similar collection, and posted it on X, after the photograph fellow collector @bochimushi64 comments “I like the colour balance. I don't have many red” maybe they can swap information on the areas they collected in? in any event now these photographs are doing the rounds, now is not a good time to be a dung beetle in Japan!
