Diana was at work during the day and evening,
so time to crack on with number 4 in our trip to the Bangkok live fish market, we had a look along one of the aisles where aquariums lights and pumps are for sale and some of the ladies working in the shop, we then looked at a shop not only selling fish but food for us as well, this shop specialises in large freshwater aquarium fish like stingrays, arapaima's and catfish, all from South America, the next shop is a change of pace, selling guppies, we then moved to a shop's display tank stocked with butterfly koi, the butterfly refers to their long fins, the koi for sale are actually kept in plastic ponds, near the end of the video there is one pond with just butterfly koi in it, just grab a net and help yourself,
this was one of the trips we made to the market, way back in July 2011 when we were stocking our aquariums when we lived in Thailand, Diana looking at the rows of aquatic stores,
lots of ponds,
with koi of all varieties,
the wholesale market is huge,
purchase made,
and back to the car park over looking a small part of the live fish market, in the evening it was time for my meal,
tonight rather than my boxed wine I went for a bottle of Château des Moines, Lalande de Pomerol, Bordeaux, 2016, and rather nice it was too,
first a sherry and a read,
then a huge chicken curry Diana had left for me, I remembered to use the big plate!
'Cheers!', after which it was feet up for,
Casablanca, although in black & white I enjoyed the movie as it happens I had watched it before, Rick Blaine, exiled American and former freedom fighter, runs the most popular nightspot in town, the town is where people from war torn Europe hope to find passage to ultimately America, sometimes Rick can help them, what a classic movie, I followed that with,
A Beautiful Mind,John Forbes Nash, Jr., known and published as John Nash, was
an American mathematician who made fundamental contributions to game theory,
real algebraic geometry, differential geometry, and partial differential
equations, he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 1959 and has spoken
openly about mental illness, to read more about him and his work have a look here, the film is about him and the demons he conquered, a fascinating movie, at the end of which Diana arrived home as she was on late shift, after a coffee
and a chat we were off to bed.
