When I Think Of Jeans,

I think of a cheap pair that I wear when I am going to get dirty,

all images courtesy of Loro Pianawith perhaps a jacket, so the idea of Denim Silk, a cotton and silk mix denim, that is made in the Bingo region of Japan, seems a bit strange,

in Japan the fabric is woven by hand on ancestral looms, which seems a bit over the top for this cheap material, but artisans in Piedmont, Italy and Bingo, Japan, brought together achieved a careful balance of 59 per cent cotton and 41 per cent silk to produce Denim Silk,

it takes a whole day to produce just 50 meters of the fabric (the equivalent to around 25 pairs of jeans), and the price of a ladies pair of jeans? just over £1,000.00! which seems a lot just to get paint spilled on them, but there it is, for the full article have a look here.
