and had a lazy day,
during the day Diana started and finished wrapping presents, then started to finish decorating the tree,
nearly done,
Ta-Dah! in the late afternoon we were out,
we walked to the green,
where gazebos had been set up,
one for the band,
and there was a lot of them and one for the choir,
we popped over to Em's Kitchen, for a complimentary mulled wine and for Diana a hot chocolate,
and made our way back to the green,
'Cheers!',
and this is what we were here for, Christmas carols on the green and to switch on Beckenham's Christmas tree lights,
after the carols there was a presentation by the local MP the deputy mayor and some notable locals,
and of course a visit from Father Christmas, after a few more carols we made a move for home,
in the garden of Foxgrove Lodge a Christmas tree,
well i just had to!
the tree looked so nice,
I did not have time for a read this evening, so a sandwich and a 'Cheers!',
before I was walking to the club to meet Steve, past the tennis courts,
and into a packed club house,
full of Christmas cheer, we settled down by the Christmas tree, shortly afterwards Frank arrived, we chatted the night away before saying our farewells and leaving for our homes, arriving back home Diana had already retired, for myself a Have I Got More News For You, but before I was off to bed, in the next post is the video that Diana made of the band and singers on the green.
