Saturday at Valantino's

Saturday midday and it was over to Valentino's,
just before we arrived there was a huge thunderstorm, we had only got to go from the lights by Care Fore to Valentino's in the road next to Foodland, but by the time we got there I was soaked through, Diana though only had wet legs,

we then had to brave the dash across the car park, luckily we were meet half way by one of the waitresses with an umbrella,

two of the friendly staff at Valentino's,

Ricardo the owner seeing me in a wet shirt very kindly gave me a dry towel and a shirt from the Victory Team Dubai, they are a team that race formula 1 power boats, this is a little about them from their web site,

In 1992, the Dubai Victory Team entered the World of Class 1 Power boating as exhibition entries, claiming an impressive first and second in the final two rounds of the championship. Since then, the Victory Team name has gone on to become one of the most successful in the history of powerboat racing.

and here are some pictures from their web site, looks like exciting stuff!

if you want to see more of Victory Team please visit their site at

back to Valentino's the palm trees there are now fruiting, I do not know if you can eat these, but there are lots of them!

speaking of eating, Diana had spaghetti,

and I had a ice coffee and prawn cocktail, then it was back to 388 for the afternoon get together.
