After Fining Countless People In Croydon For Mixing Their Rubbish,

the council now does it for them! residents of this cul-de-sac had clearly taken the time to sort their glass, cans, plastic and paper recycling into separate boxes, so along comes the council, puts it all in the same bin and empties it all in the lorry, and to add insult to injury, the vehicle boasted a sign stating: 'My next stop is landfill! Think before you throw.' Malcolm Kendall, head of recycling and waste management at the council, admitted the signage on the lorry was misleading, however he claimed its contents did not end up in a landfill, but were separated again at a recycling centre, well I suppose separating it again will be keeping a couple of people employed, Malcolm explained the street was to narrow for the bin lorries that had been calling there since the street was built many years ago, but surly there must be a better way than this, the citizens of Croydon separating the rubbish, the council mixing it, then separating it again?
