Today It Was Mass's birthday and Mick and Mass's 4th wedding anniversary,

so it was off to Prechai for a slap up meal,
this is us from the mini bus but a few more friends of Mick and Mass made their own way there,
I like looking at the food on offer, these are freshwater blue shrimps, the males have huge blue claws, like lobster they fight in close proximity to each other so their claws are held together with rubber bands, two types of swimming crabs, if you look carefully the smallest two legs are flattened into what looks like paddles to help them swim,
whilst taking shots of the food Phil arrived on his German Harley, notice the Australian built supercharger, well it was easier to notice in the previous shot,
then back to the food, these look more like the crabs we have in the UK,
huge mantis shrimps, these are about 10" or so in length,
the livestock is kept in these ponds or some are in aquariums,
a close look at the head of a mantis shrimp, it must have been a good design as there are land and sea living examples of them,
a few dinners at one of the other restaurants, this is looking towards Sattahip,
wine glasses arriving at our table and a long one it was too!
but Nick was the first to have a drink!
and then the happy couple,
Mick and biker extraordinaire Phil,
Jay and Precil,
Diana and myself, ah!
Booie and Mr. Tony,
John Boy and P,
Mass's dad and one of her nephews,
and Mass's mum with the other one,
Nick and Maureen,
later Mark arrived,
with Tom and Gig,
and soon after Joe's wife Jeap and her sister Noy arrived,
the sun starting to set over the bay,
then Joe arrived, he was delayed in his trip down from Bangkok,
Joe with Mick and Mass,
a little later and the sun sinks into the horizon,
Mick really enjoys the curried crab,
I mean really enjoys!
by now everyone had arrived along with the food,
Mass's Mum and Dad, taking a rest from the food which seemed never ending,
Mass liked the crab as well,
the happy couple, celebrating 4 years of marriage today,
"Cheers!" from Mick and myself,
then group photo time, first the guys,
then the girls,
there were 3 cakes, first happy birthday,
then happy,
anniversary, the two words were to big for one cake, just as well as there were so many guests,
then happy birthday presents, this one from Nick and Maureen,
Mass is so excited!
a new hand bag,
Nick and Maureen did not want to leave Diana out of it so they very kindly bought her a present as well,
a new purse, in a custom I remember from many years ago, a purse should never be given empty, pity I only had 1,000 baht notes on me!
Mick was a bit more fortunate!
after the huge meal Joe very kindly decided to do some of his magic tricks for Mass's nephews if you want to see Joe's magic web site go here,
every one was enthralled,
and of coures a volunteer was needed,
the show was for the kids, but everyone was spell bound,
the magic number board,
Mark was also a volunteer, I think Mark knows what is coming next!
then it was Mass's turn all smiles now,
but when the finger chopping guillotine turned up she was not so sure!
one, two, three!
and all went well, but if it had not one of Mass's nephews would have caught the finger, I think he was looking forward to that!
then Jay tried a few party tricks,
then back to 388 for a few nightcaps a little bit of Little Britian, many thanks to Mick and Mass for treating us all to a lavish meal, many happy returns to Mass and cogratulations to them both on this most happy of days and to Joe for entertaining us so well after the meal.
