We Had A Bit Of A Busy Day Yesterday,

first off we went to see a friends lawyer, Mu,

nothing important, just a few words of advice, this is his office above,

the building is on the corner of that very busy crossing on Pattaya Tai, between the traffic lights on Third and Sumkivit,
Mu above,
and Komsan,
the junction was made even busier because of a new light being erected, the office from the other side of the road, the cause of the traffic delays, so if you have a legal matter or like me needed a few words of advice and you want an English speaking Thai lawyer you now know where one is, then a trip to Sriracha, a friend of a friend was in hospital so we went for a drive, the main building,
one of the wings, the reason for traveling this far is that the prices here are much more reasonable than the hospitals in Pattaya,
as soon as we were back it was get changed and off to Cherry's for a meal,
it was the 295 baht a head menu, complimentary spring roll and a few helpings from the salad bar, we were joined by Mr. Tony, also we bumped into Fred who was looking well and fit I am happy to say,
"Cheers!" from both of us,
Diana decided to wear this years Christmas present early,
Mr. Tony had braised steak in a red wine and mushroom sauce as his main course,
Diana started with Chicken with cheese and spinach, but then went onto the baked salmon, for me I had the pork chop,
then deserts, tiramisu for Diana,
and banana split for Mr. Tony and myself, over a few cups of coffee, we chatted about the Copenhagen summit, everybody banging on about man made global warming and none of the delegates could get home because it was to cold!
but on a serious note as I have always said compared to what nature can do, we, mankind, has had no effect on global warming, nature on the other hand is very good at warming and cooling the world, only recently in world time terms it nearly wiped us from the face of the earth just 73,000 years ago, we hung on, the few thousand of us that were left, by the skin of our teeth, far from global warming I personally believe we are heading towards global cooling, another Maunder Minimum, I just hope it does not last as long as the last one, it is all down to sun spots - or at least the lack of them, still the good news is that when the earth cools down as I and many others predict, the politicians will pat themselves on the back thinking that they have done it, the bad news is that we will have paid for it!
and in a complete change of topic The Simpson's, those lovable characters have been praised by the Vatican’s newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano on Tuesday the paper congratulated the show on its 20th anniversary, praising its philosophical leanings as well as its stinging and often irreverent take on religion, the show is based on "realistic and intelligent writing," it said, though it added there was some reason to criticize its "excessively crude language, the violence of certain episodes or some extreme choices by the scriptwriters." and then it was home to watch a DVD,
one of my favorite comedy westerns, The Ballad Of Cable Hogue, great fun then off to bed.
