Just As We Were Going To Jump On The Bike,

the heavens opened up, as far as I can remember it has never rained like this in December before, also it is so cold, some days barely reaching 80, so we waited for it to stop,
then it was along to Carrefour to pick up the Christmas toys for the kids,
footballs, toy kitchen and music kits, model cars and those things you wind up and fly into the air, (someone, Fred the pastor, is really going to enjoy the drum kit!),
Lhen Lhen was out on another mission as we were held up by the rain but another of the volunteers was there to let us in,
I forgot 3 sets of badminton rackets, wait till Fred finds the drums and maracas!
then home feet up, fresh strawberries and a few DVD's,
Gulliver's Travels was first on the list, we had seen it before but still spellbinding the second time around,
next we looked for something we had not seen before and found Creepshow, still in its cellophane wrapping, it is based on the EC horror comics of the 1950's, stories coming to life from their pages, but how strange, after watching Ted Danson in Gulliver's travels he was in one of the stories in this collection staring opposite Leslie Nielsen, the series was filmed in 1982, so for Ted it was pre Cheers and for Leslie pre both TV and film Police Squad, according to the listings in The Internet Movie Database, (IMDB),
by now it was getting late so rather than start a Hercule we looked at a few from disc 7 of Tales of the Unexpected, after 3 or 4 of those it was time for bed, by the way if anyone wants to donate to the orphanage here is how to do it.
