I Had Just Read In The Bangkok Post,

that storms were on their way for the next few days,

as I was taking a shower I thought I would tell Diana, but then there was a flash of lightening followed so fast by a crash of thunder, it made that piece of information redundant, the rain started crashing down,

 getting worse,

and worse, thoughts of the last flood at the back of my mind, but then it started to stop as Mr. Tony arrived, we were out for our Sunday lunch,

for a change of venue we went to the Second Road end of Soi Diana and parked up where not a drop of rain had fallen,

we made our way into the back of the covered area that leads to Second Road, we were going to the Beefeater for their Sunday Mexican buffet,

they had a good selection of foods on offer,

we had been told that the ribs were especially nice,

but first a few starters, slices of beef with peppers, potato salad, cheese and some tortillas and tacos with fillings,

a nicely laid out bar area for dinners waiting for a table, luckily we had booked which was just as well as the place was full,

next on to the main courses, ribs of course, but there was also a selection of Texas bar-b-q, chili con carne, plus another 6 or so meat dishes,

 'Cheers!',

 on to another few dishes,

 another view of the bar,

after a break we had some desserts,

Diana had ice cream and meringue,

 along with Mr. Tony,

for myself I had the creme brulee,

a lovely meal which made a nice change from our usual Sunday roast,

a quick pose and we were off,

outside in the car park I spotted this car,

it was it's wheels that caught my attention,

the roads out here like I guess many in the UK have their fair share of potholes, so it always amazes me that tyres so thin as these do not result in the aluminium wheels being dented,

next stop after our lunch was the new Made in Thailand outlet on Second Road,

past one of the seafood restaurants,

although these are in fact fresh water shrimps,

this is the new covered over area in Made in Thailand,

everything is so smart and clean,

it is almost like being in a department store, the old market was well, a bit hot and dirty,

Diana trying on a swimming costume,

we were taken by these see through posing pouches,

but Mr. Tony and myself thought they were not quite us,

 back to the car,

and then glasses on for a 3D movie,

great fun, I was at first worried that the battery in the glasses would run down quickly, but we use the same glasses and despite watching more than a few movies we have not had to replace the batteries yet,

this was what we watched Sammy's Adventures: The Secret Passage, great visuals especially in 3D, the down side, the vocals are a complete and utter attempt to brain wash by greenpeace, what a load of non-science, pity the director seemed so full of his own importance and did not stick to facts,

Deep Impact was next, another end of the world as we know it movie, in fact, a meteor discovered the previous year by high school student Leo Biederman and astronomer Dr. Marcus Wolf, is on a collision course with the Earth, an Extinction Level Event, who lives? who dies? who cares? we just looked at the great special effects,

after Mr. Tony left we watched some more satellite television, then rounded off the evening with the last episodes of North & South, a most enjoyable series, one that has achieved the highest score of all that we have seen on the IMDB at 8.9 from over 7,000 voters, so it is not only us that liked it! as you can imagine despite everything that has happened it all ended well, with that we were off to bed.
