for a council to admit it's own mistakes,

but Liverpool council have put their hands up for their workers when they painted a road markings warning not to block the entrance to a school, after failing to notice it had been knocked down more than a year ago, a council source told the ECHO the school gaffe was a “hands up” situation, adding: “They just followed their instructions without thinking about it.”

a council spokesman added, “We are also trying to make sure that it did not happen outside other schools that were re-located.”
