Off Fishing Today,

and it was going to be a hot one,

the sun was out with no breeze, it was so hot, we picked Nick and Maureen up first thing in the morning and were soon at the lake,

Nick had very kindly brought along some fruit cake he had baked earlier in the week for our morning coffee break,

as the morning progressed a few clouds came along,

 but no rain today,

then the first fish of the day to me,

the good news was that it was one of the fish that we can eat,

no sooner caught than into the kitchen and back out again,

one of the fishing park cats enjoyed it too,

second of the day to me,

but sadly a tad too small to take home so back he went,

 the day was calm,

one dragon fly here today, it is strange for the past few visits here there has hardly been any dragonflies, normally there are several flying around, the day ended at a 2-0 victory for myself,

if you want to fish here, it is the Mamak fishing park, their map above, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is on the right hand side, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!

we then went back to Nick and Maureen's for our evening meal,

a pork roast, delicious,

followed by cheese and biscuits an ice cream, then a real treat, a Irish coffee,

what a way to round off a meal,

then on to The Game, Monopoly of course, in only a few turns we were in trouble,

as Nick had the dice with him, buying properties right, left and centre, Victory! we all had a great time, after thanking Nick and Maureen for a lovely day we made a move for home, a coffee and some television then for us we were off to bed.
