The Day Started With Some Great News!

Samsung telephone to ask if we would be at home in the afternoon,

Diana was going to go out to the pictures with a friend but I would be in, and true to their word Samsung called in with our repaired television,

great excitement as it was unwrapped,

I have to say it looked brand new, but I guess it was our old one that had just been cleaned up whilst being repaired, in case you do not know we bought this television 2 years and 11 months ago and paid for a extended 3 year warranty with Home Works who we bought it through, lucky for us that we did as lines appeared down the screen and we were told it was horribly expensive to repair it, but here we are Samsung honouring their extended warranty with no problems, Well Done Samsung! the other bit of good news was that the visitor counter at the bottom left of each page is now up and running, the only slight problem being it has started from zero, so it has lost all of the previous numbers of visitors, oh well start again!

next stop for me as Diana was not back was to send more paperwork back to the UK,

so a quick stop at the FedEx office again, the fountain in the courtyard working perfectly,

on with a movie, I just had to take a picture of the movie I was watching, it was so nice to have the big television back,

Diana was excited as well when she returned, then it was glad rags on,

and this was where we were going, Cherry's,

some bread rolls and sticks for starters, there was also a choice of two different soups,

 on to the salad bar,

 and the starters proper,

 main courses aplenty,

and there is of course the carvery,

 and sushi to chose from,

so it is now time to start,

 starters for all of us,

 and another round of starters,

 followed by our main course,

we were spoilt for choice when it came to the desserts, all of these,

plus 7 different flavours of ice cream,

we all chose the cream caramel,

and rounded off the meal with a coffee, yet again another lovely meal from Cherry's, the International buffet is held every Wednesday and Saturday evening and cost just 399 baht, which considering the selection of food available seems very reasonable, if you wish to visit Cherry's it is on Third Road opposite what was once the site of the X-Cite disco, Mr. Tony very kindly dropped us of at home and came in,

where it was feet up as we watched a film we had all seen before but enjoyed so much we watched it again, The Grand Budapest Hotel, it was so enjoyable, a brilliant story of greed, corruption and restitution, not to every ones taste I am guessing, but it was so well made we were all captivated by it, as an aside the cast includes four Oscar winners: Adrien BrodyTilda SwintonFisher Stevens and F. Murray Abraham and eleven actors that were nominated for an Oscar (not necessarily in the acting category): Bill MurrayJude LawJeff GoldblumEdward NortonOwen WilsonHarvey KeitelBob BalabanTom WilkinsonWillem DafoeSaoirse Ronan and Ralph Fiennes, we have featured it and a spin off on our blog before

we said our farewells to Mr. Tony then feet up for another film that I guess is an acquired taste, Big Fish, a wonderful story so full of colour and life and with that we were off to bed.
