We Were Off Early,

to pick up Nick and Maureen to go fishing,

the weather did not look too good,

 hot, sticky, grey and overcast,

 just about summed it up,

no dragonflies today, but on the far side of the lake,

a few lotus were in flower,

so I zoomed in to take a picture,

after an hour or so not a bite,

then the first fish of the day, unfortunately way too small to eat, so back he went,

then I caught a second, which got me cries of derision as it was so small, so back he went, but here is the good news, it still counted as one, so now the score 2-0 to me,

the last time we were here the lakes cats look not too well cared for, they were so hungry they were eating our bread bait, but now a change, a new crew were looking after the lake and the cats looked much better, they even had even been bought a bell collar each,

Maureen felt so sorry for them the last time she was here she had come armed with a tin of tuna for them this time, which the first of them enjoyed,

but the cat was not too keen on sharing,

when a new cat to the lake appeared,

but it all went well as there was plenty to go around,

then in the distance the rumble of thunder, but luckily no rain for us, so with the score still at 2-0 to me we made a move to Nick and Maureen's home,

if you want to fish here, it is the Mamak fishing park, their map above, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, once in the Soi go over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is in on the right hand side, almost opposite the big pink building on the left, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!

arriving back at their home we sat outside and a had a snack of a few sausage rolls Maureen had made, then a move inside for one of Nick's delicious curries, followed by dessert,

then on to the important part of the evening Monopoly, first game to me,

the second to Diana as the first game was over in no time at all, we thanked Nick and Maureen for looking after us so well and made a move for home,

then feet up for Red Dwarf, we watched just one episode, Gunmen of the Apocalypse, then for us we were off to bed.
