Some People Who Take Part In Period Reenactments,

take things far too seriously,

like one of the players at the Tombstone stunt show at Helldorado Days on Sunday, who used live bullets and shot two people, Tom Carter's weapon was checked after the incident, investigators found that there was one live round in the cylinder with five expended casing, which indicates the gun had held six live round before the reenactment, they later learned, at least two live round hit businesses, one of them hit a woman standing in front of the Bird Cage Theatre, which is almost 700 feet away from where the shooting happened, Ken Curtis who was shot, was listed in good condition on Monday morning after undergoing surgery, a Banner-University Medical Centre spokeswoman said, the bullet was removed and he 'will be released to his wife so he can recuperate at home,' the lady in the incident, 'sustained a minor laceration to her neck as the result of a ricochet or shrapnel but refused medical attention and went about her day', according to Bob Randall, the city marshal,

the shooting incident came just eight days before Tombstone was set to mark the anniversary of the notorious 30-second gunfight a the O.K. Corral, the Oct. 26, 1881, conflict was the result of a long-simmering feud between cowboys Billy Claiborne, Ike and Billy Clanton, Tom and Frank McLaury, and Tombstone's lawmen: Marshal Virgil Earp, assistant Marshal Morgan Earp, and deputy marshals Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, well I am all for realism, but imagine it was a World War II reenactment and they were using flame throwers!
