Keeping To A Lighthouse Theme,

and on a happier note,

here is the Boston Light, which has seen everything from Revolution-era warships to massive modern shipping liners making their way into the Boston Harbor, now, as America’s oldest-operating lighthouse, the Boston Light is celebrating its 300th year of operation, the lighthouse still needs a keeper, Sally Snowman, the tower was built on the foundation of the original in 1783, fourteen feet were later added so it's now 89 feet tall, the U.S. Coast Guard, which owns the property and employs Snowman, spent $1.5 million renovating it for this year's tricentennial celebration, well there is two pieces of good news, the light still works and there is a good chance that the U. S. Coastguard will not lose the Fresnel lens on top of it!
