When I Think Of Wars,

I normally think of skirmishes,

that turn into battles, with lots of blood and bravery, that after a number of years finally ended in victory for one side or the other, so I was rather surprised to find that one war lasted a staggering 335 years! from 1651 to 1986, 

the war was between the  Isles of Scilly and Netherlands, the war stretched for so long simply because no peace treaty was ever signed, the good news is that as hostilities ended in 1986, not a single casualty was declared, and not a shot fired, it just goes to show a peaceful agreement can be reached in war, just that it takes a little time!
