as Diana has a couple of days off,
we will be out early, so back to today, the neighbours were out, so out with the hammer and picture hooks, it was time to hang some of our photographs, unfortunately I did not have a plumb line, so it was all measuring with a tape, and hoping for the best, as it happened they sort of look in line,
most of the photographs are of my dabbling with infrared,
with a few others thrown in, from some of the places we have visited, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Cambodia and Vietnam, we will in a few months change all of them for a different selection,
out of these my favorite, is this one, at first looking almost like an abstract, but in fact shows devotees at the Cao Dai Temple, I managed to find my way to a balcony looking down in the temple, and between the pillars the devotees pray, the temple is about 3 hours from Ho Chi Minh
City, the religion called Caodaism, and has it is estimated 4 million followers, swelling to over 6 million if other branches are added, it takes a number of tenants from other religions and includes in its list of saints figures such as the Buddha, Confucius, Jesus Christ, Muhammad, Pericles, Julius Caesar, Joan of
Arc, Victor Hugo, and the Chinese revolutionary leader Sun Yat-sen, these are
honored at Cao Dai temples, along with ancestors, and amongst its hierarchy has a Pope, in the afternoon Steve called by for a coffee and a chat,
in the evening I watched, Land of the Lost, which I found very funny, then out to pick up Diana from the bus stop, arriving home one more from Game of Thrones and we were off to bed.
