but how much do we know about it?
it being the Panama Canal, which is an artificial 82 km waterway in Panama
that connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific Ocean, the canal cuts across
the Isthmus of Panama and is a conduit for maritime trade, most importantly it
shortened the time it took for ships to cross South America without having to
pass through the notoriously hazardous Cape Horn on the southernmost tip via
the Drake Passage or Strait of Magellan, so how about a
little Sunday after dinner quiz on the canal? check out the quiz on Inside Sources and see how well you do, for myself an appalling
5 out of 10, hopefully any Americans reading this will fair much better, image
