A Few Days Ago,

I made a post,

about cockney rhyming slang, (not to be confused with Polari), with a link to a small dictionary of slang and its meanings, but go back one age further and you have Victorian rhyming slang, in which many very well known cockney phrases are not mentioned, such as apples and pears = stairs, or north and south = mouth, so for fun here is a quiz of Victorian rhyming slang, for myself 8 out of 10, which I have to admit being British I thought was a bit poor, but there it is, image credit: Wikimedia Commons.
