Does Anyone Remember,

one of these?

it is a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Instant picture camera, I thought that they were not made any more but you can still buy them brand new from Polaroid, they produce instant photographs, you clicked the shutter and in a few moments your photograph appeared out of the camera, back in the late1960s and early 1970s I was into dark room photography at the time and remember thinking how difficult it must have been to come up with the system of taking and developing the prints in camera,

this picture of Chemist Howard G Rogers & colleagues will give you some idea of the difficulties, pictured with them are the 5,000 bottles of chemical compounds used to discover the Polaroid colour film process, photograph Fritz Goro/The LIFE Picture Collection/Getty Images, taken 1963, if you find the development of this form of photography interesting, there is a very good read of its history here, and it is a interesting read.
