at the time,
and here it is, in its heyday,
the idea? make a theme park of presidential heads, unfortunally the paying public did not think so,
a man called Howard Hankins helped to construct the park, for the full story, and it is an interesting one, have a look here,
each of the statues stands over 20 feet tall,
some weighing as much as 9 UK tons, (20,000 pounds),
it is hoped to make another park exhibiting them,
but for the moment back in 2010 when the park went bankrupt,
they sit unwanted in a field, decaying,
grouped in lines overlooking the countryside off I-64, and somewhere in the
tree of the Black Hills in South Dakota, and across a handful of RV parks too, I guess it did seem like a good idea at the time, photographs found here.
