we did not go out but spent the day in the flat,
watching television, in the evening our meal, but first a read,
for our starter, mussels with toasted bread,
'Cheers!',
for our main course,
cottage pie with peas,
rounding off the meal a rum baba for Diana, a crème brulee for myself,
eyes down and tuck in!
we watched Assassins Creed in the evening which was quiet enjoyable, plus a couple from Midsomer Murders, rounding the evening off with one from New Tricks, next for us we were off to bed.

Someone has been working too many hours so great to get a day off to relax. Glad you both stayed in as Covid-19 continues to ramp up most places. In USA we have a distribution issue with the existing vaccine, so many injection sites have run out of vaccine. Meanwhile hospitals are full and modified virus cases have ramped up. Looks like UK cases growing as well so stay safe!

Dear John and Alley, yes it is nice for Diana to get a few days off, she also has Monday off, but next week she is on the early shift for 3 days, catching the first bus at 04.05 to arrive at work just before her shift starts at 05.00, so up just after 03.00 in the morning to get ready for our walk to the bus stop. As far as the Covid-19 is concerned I really do not know what to believe as reading just one newspaper there are 2 conflicting story's in the same paper about how good distribution of the vaccine is, or how the distribution of the vaccine is not working! hopefully all will be well in the end, but I fear that we will be in lockdown for many months to come, one spokesman mention the lockdown lasting till the end of May, my betting is that they will limp it along for a few months after that then we can continue the lockdown for winter!!!! best regards, Stan and Diana.
