Another Bright Sunny Day,

so unlike the March days that we are used to,

we were off,

for a local day out,

past the cherry blossom,

looking back to the snail mail box, not a cloud in the sky,

in no time we were on the top deck of a 54 bus,

going past the park entrance,

and Peter Pans pool,

in no time into Catford,

and past the Catford cat,

I try to keep away from politics and word affairs in our posts, but it can not be denied, blue and yellow flags are a common occurrence,

no prizes for guessing where we are going!

we soon neared Lewisham,

going past the building that never seems to be finished, the fence still in evidence around it,

Lewisham market in full swing,

as it happens we will be going there on our way home,

onward,

past the cemetery at St. Margaret's,

we arrived in Blackheath village,

as you might expect,

the flower shop packed to the roof,

for Mothers Day,

we had a quick look in the fruit and vegetable shop,

where I saw these, snake fruit, we had often seen these growing when we were living in Thailand, but never actually tried one,

large pineapples to the right,

small mini ones to the left,

this was good to see,

the book shop open for business, I had feared it had closed for good,

on to the heath, which was packed with people,

the church on the heath,

and naturally a pose from Diana,

the queue for ice creams had disappeared,

so Diana was first in line,

two ice creams to go,

with chocolate,

this sort of made up for yesterday,

when there were none at the lake,

all the fun of the fair, well circus actually,

then I had a bit of fun,

after just a few peanuts,

I was soon mobbed by crows,

we made our way towards Greenwich Park,

past the gate house,

and we were in, the yellow daffodils past their best,

but the ones with white outer petals were still putting on a good show,

lots more in the distance,

and here they are,

next to the avenue of cherry blossoms which in a few weeks will I am sure look magnificent,

a quick pose from Diana,

we both fancied a coffee,

so over the road,

to the Pavilion café/restaurant it was then,

I grabbed a table whilst Diana bought the coffees,

and a cake,

I was intrigued by this aircraft,

if you look closely it is a bi-plane,

Diana behind bars!

I threw away our coffee mugs,

and joined Diana,

looking towards the now repaired 02 after the storm of a few weeks ago,

a quick pose,

we started towards the viewing point

looking down the park was crowded with people out in the sun,

many day trippers trying to find the perfect spot to take a photograph,

Diana joined me,

as we made our way to Greenwich village,

crowds everywhere,

we stated down the hill,

well I just had to!

unknown to myself,

Diana was snapping away as I was,

the Maritime Museum,

and the now unused power station, with the current crisis perhaps now is the time to bring it back online?

one more from me,

the warm weather had certainly brought out the crowds,

the pathways were packed,

we made our way to the bus stop,

the Cutty Sark in the distance,

I tried to take a photograph with out any cars of this side of the square, but the traffic was nonstop,

we caught the 180 into Lewisham, we were going to have a look at the market, but first walking through the shopping centre to the market we saw these, I have of course heard of the Berlin Wall, but never expected to see some of it in Lewisham!

we were soon in the market,

with so many fruit and vegetable stalls,

and others,

selling all manner of goods,

5 for a £1 what a bargain!

whilst I was snapping away

Diana was looking in of course clothes shops!

and there is of course fishmongers here,

many thanks for holding up some of the catch,

we made our way past the church in the High Street,

to the number 54 bus stop,

we went back to Lidl, we had just received a £10.00 gift voucher, but it had to be used in 7 days, well as we were on the 54 we stayed on it into town, outside lots of Mothers Day bunches of flowers,

on our way back home, the sign in the florist says it all,

into the park,

the new buds on the wisteria a tad lager,

the petals on the magnolia now starting to drop, it is such a pity they do not last longer,

it was soon time for our evening meal,

corn beef fritters and vegetables,

'Cheers!',

for dessert crème brulee,

eyes down and tuck in,

to round off the meal,

some chocolates, but here is the thing, where was the top tray of chocolates? Diana gave me a guilty look! we settled down to a back to back Midsomer Murder before we were off to bed.
