It Appears That In Taiwan,

ramen noodle shops are trying to outdo each other,

photograph Witch Cat/Facebook in the unusual food steaks, we have featured them here with a frog, this one with a giant isopod, and now ramen restaurant in Yunlin, Taiwan, recently unveiled its latest menu offering Godzilla Ramen, a bowl of ramen soup with a braised crocodile leg sticking out of it,

the owner of a ramen shop in Douliu City, Taiwan’s Yunlin County, having learned how to cook crocodile soup during a trip to Thailand, the owner of the Witch Cat ramen restaurant devised the Godzilla Ramen recipe and began promoting it online, the dish is made with 40 different spices, but the main ingredient literally sticking out of the bowl is a braised crocodile leg,

a bowl of Godzilla Ramen is priced at NT$1,500 at today's rate £37.97 or $48.36, it should be noted that the restaurant also has a NT$100 ‘food waste fee’, at today's rate £25.31 or $32.20 for people who order the dish exclusively for photos, without actually eating the dish, but if you want to sample this dish you will have to be quick, the crocodile legs for the Godzilla Ramen are reportedly sourced from a crocodile farm in Taitung, but the farm can only supply enough ingredients for a couple of ramen bowls per day, I think I will stick to fish and chips!

  1. Dear Stanley and Diana
I wonder how many 3 legged crocks live at the farm now! No thanks on the exotic animal limb dishes! I’ll take a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead!

  2. Dear John and Alley, I was going to do the restaurant joke, "waiter bring me a crocodile soup, and make it snappy!" but I decided against it! best regards, Stan and Diana.
