Monday Morning,

check out of the hotel,

and make our way to Eastbourne station, for our journey home,

a quick pose from Diana,

and we were soon inside enjoying a coffee,

and a shared croissant,

the good news was that there were very few people travelling on our train, and many of them were only going as far as Gatwick Airport, so we had a table and seats to ourselves

all set for the journey,

on the way back we stopped by this curious building,

I guess it is a workman's hut for railway workers, it is certainly of an age,

we were soon speeding home, the countryside a blur,

when I noticed these cars parked,

it was the pick up point for these,

daredevil skydivers,

with my fear of heights not a sport for me!

a very happy Stan,

I always think that some architects do not think their work through, take this fashion a few year ago to show all of the workings of the building,

all of the girders, nuts and bolts on show, it must have looked so good on paper,

until it was realised on both sides of the staircase,

people could seriously injure themselves on the girders, nuts and bolts!

we soon arrived back in Croydon,

with its tall skyscrapers, on to the tram at East Corydon,

and off again at Beckenham Junction,

where O'Neil's was calling,

we were both famished, 'Cheers!',

we took advantage of the midday food and drink offer, a mac & cheese with extra bacon for Diana and a coke, scampi and chips for myself with a wine, all for £18.00,

we almost had the bar to ourselves,

for a bit of fun I tried to count how many groups of 4 different tiles they were here, I got to 12 and gave up!

out of O' Neil's walking towards the pub next door, Patrick's,

and past Foxgrove Lodge and into the park,

the sign on the left,

what a fabulous Sunday break we had, now the bad news, in the afternoon Diana had to go to work, whilst she was there I started on the blog, and was still typing it as she arrived home after her late shift! after a chat and a coffee we were then off to bed.
