Diana Was Already At Work,

as I left to visit Duncan,

it was a grey, wet, rainy day, with occasional gusts of wind, another storm was on its way, I should say I am only making one post today as first thing today, (Wednesday), we will be leaving to hand in Diana's paperwork to the UK government for her visa to stay in the UK. I will post this as soon as I finish it and we leave the flat, back to Tuesday,

when I was in the bus the rain was relentless,

passing Peter Pan's Pool, the camera would not focus past the rain drops,

I tried again, 

and once more at Lewisham market, so that was that,

arriving in Blackheath Village the florists was open,

a nice colourful display again this week,

I am not sure what they are, but they were certainly colourful,

as will these spring bulbs be when they open, 

all hyacinths I think,

at the station, 

a bit of bad news, no through trains to Gravesend, 

so a change at Dartford, thankfully not much of a wait for the 10.20, 

arriving at Gravesend, the sky was as grey as ever,

thankfully not too much of a wait for the bus, I was soon walking up the hill to the nursing home where Duncan lives,

into the home, Duncan was his usual self, his upset stomach from last week just a memory, we chatted away, I remembered at one time he had a dog whose name I thought was Robin, Duncan's memory came to my aid, it was Rupert, well I remembered as soon as he said it! we carried on chatting about the late 1970s when he lived in Shirley, just up the road from where we live now,

his lunch arrived so I made a move for home, another few months and the roses will be back in bloom,

grey skies, but luckily not raining, all went well until I reached Blackheath Village, there was road works and a sign that said the number 54 bus stop was closed, for further details contact the TFL website, (Transport for London), which a lady was trying to do, like myself she had arrived by train and was meeting her 2 children travelling on the number 54 bus, she was on the website but no mention was made of the stop being closed, so she had no idea where to meet her children, worse still they did not have a mobile telephone, I could not help, so I went back to the station and caught the next train to Lewisham, 

and then walked around the one way traffic system from the station to Lewisham market,

lots of foods on offer, 

like these strawberries, 

and pineapples,

along with peppers and mushrooms,

I carried on walking to the bus stop, and caught the number 54 bus home,

into a grey park, Diana was already home and as I thought having a snooze, so I entered as quiet as a mouse, until the wind caught the kitchen door and slammed it shut, oh well I tried! the problem is our windows are so old and have gaps around them even though we have draught proof tape on some of them, so there is always a slight tendency for doors to slam shut, I must remember that next time,

in the early evening a last check that all of Diana's paperwork,

was in order, 

although difficult to see just over 200 pages of it! most of which was the same as two and half years ago, and of course the same as that we submitted two and a half years before that, this is stage three of a three stage process, proof of where we live, up to date bank statements, copies of passport and originals, etc, I just hope we have all that is required, tomorrow we submit it all,

we rounded the evening off with Kong: Skull Island, we had watched the film before but it was nice to watch it again, almost non-stop action with stunning special effects, with the end of the film we were off to bed.
