I do not know where the days go,
the flowers from our wedding anniversary still looking nice, the lilies just beginning to open,
time for a read of Private Eye and a sherry,
for a change today a bottle of white to go with our chicken main course, a Macon-Villages,
for our starter a prawn cocktail on a bed of sliced cucumber and avocado,
eyes down and tuck in,
'Cheers!', as our main course arrived,
for today a roast chicken, with gravy for Diana,
sans gravy for myself,
Diana was hungry!
for dessert a apple pie with cream and ice cream, after a long break it was onto the sofa for a few Columbo's, in the evening the wind picked up, and was soon blowing a gale, as that was blowing we watched a Have I Got More News For You, after which Diana was off to bed, another week of early starts, for myself feet up for,
The Curse of Frankenstein, the first film from Hammer Productions, that brought
together Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, who remain lifelong friends, after which I too was off to bed.
