I was born in 1950,
illustrations from Wikipedia, I found these magazine covers so cute,
they are from a magazine called Lilliput,
the magazine was a small-format British monthly magazine of humour, short
stories, photographs and the arts, founded in 1937 by the photojournalist
Stefan Lorant,
Lilliput
was first published in 1937, only a short period before WW2 and continued right
through the war under a few owners until its eventual end in 1960 when it
merged into ‘Men Only’ ( which was at the time a similar pocket general interest
magazine ...not the later ‘girlie’ incarnation),
the first 147 issues (until late 1949) had covers
illustrated by Walter Trier with each design
depicting a man, a woman, and a small Scottish Terrier dog in various
situations and periods, for a web page dedicated to the magazine have a look here, the covers perhaps not to everyone's taste but I liked them.
