I Decided To Have A Quiet Day,

after clearing up the storm damage,

but first as Diana was on a late shift we had breakfast together, a fried egg sandwich and 'Cheers!', with a mug of tea, after Diana left for work it was downstairs, Storm Bert had been busy overnight, my sun lounger had yet again been tumbled across the garden, it must have been windy for it to have cleared the rose bed! the bad news was that the waterproof cover had been shredded, so that was a throw away, I also brought upstairs the cushion as it was water logged, so that has to dry out over the next few days,

next I decided to play with a couple of images from our trip to Bangkok, above the fruit seller as it came out of the camera, but I wanted to make her stand out from the background,

so I increased her image by a tad her and the front of the boat, toning the blue shirts in the back ground down,

next darken the corners and now she really stands out,

so I thought I would try another one, out of the camera,

I toned down the background, and then got rid of the few white spots showing through, like the one in the top right corner,

almost there, but the yellow of the bananas and fruit in front of her was distracting,

so down a little and I lost a little more of the background, for myself just right, the shame of it is I know so little of Photoshop, so I am sure many could make a better job of it, but there it is I am happy with them, they will be on our wall the next time I change the photographs on the wall,

in the evening a big read, I have 2 copies of Private Eye to catch up on,

for tonight a thick country soup, 'Cheers!',

after which I settled down for Hitler: The Rise of Evil, which I had watched before, this is what I wrote then:

'a strange choice of subject matter but it was a tour de force for lead actor Robert Carlyle, we share the same birthday so that should be good for one of us, but back to the film, the movie describes the life of Adolf Hitler from childhood to manhood, and how he became so powerful, the chilling thing was that at least in the film it all looked so easy for him',

I watched both parts which meat just as it finished Diana arrived home, so feet up for a coffee and a chat after which we were off to bed.
