to make sure he was there and had not been moved to hospital,
as happened a few weeks ago, all was well, he is still at the home, so as soon as I post this I will be off to visit him, which means thee will only be one post today and as soon as I post it I will be out, back to Tuesday, I needed to swap our CO2 cylinder for the soda water I have every morning, so out into a grey, cold day,
off of the bus in town and a quick look into the florists,
outside a nice selection of Christmas potted flowers,
inside a huge soldier,
and over the road to the post office, I had a few things to post,
next a trip to Sainsbury's to exchange our CO2 cylinder, also a visit to the instore Argos,
to pick up one of these, a paper shredder, over the past 5 years of putting in for Diana's visa to stay here, we have accumulated a mountain of paperwork, most of it containing personal information, years of bank statements, our address, medical records, National Insurance, income tax and NHS numbers to name a few, all information we did not want anyone else to find, so we could not just throw it all into the dustbin, so a shredder it was, the only problem being arriving home I read that I could only use it for three minutes before it would switch off for a 75 minute break! it will take an age to shred all of the paperwork we have, but there it is, a new job for me over the next few weeks/months! arriving home I carried on looking at the photographs we had taken over the years that I was collating into subjects, fish, birds, orchids, you get the idea, when I got tired of that I played with a few,
like this one of a mounted policeman I took when we were in London, I only wanted the horse and rider,
so background removed,
black background added,
then take away the other horse and standing policeman, as I mentioned before the black background is not to everyone's taste but I like the look of the effect, after my evening meal Diana arrived home, so a evening in the company of Midsomer Murders, after which Diana was off to bed as she has a early start tomorrow, for myself a Bangers & Cash before I too was off to bed.
